The Blue Lounge Social Club is an initiative that allows young freemasons to come together with friends and family in a social setting where they can enjoy each other’s company.
Originating from Victoria Australia, the Blue Lounge Social Club was created to achieve the mission of the recruitment, retention, education and support of young freemasons. Whilst our club hosts regular social events, where young freemasons can gather together outside the lodge in a non-formal environment, we are much more than a social club.
The Blue Lounge’s main purpose is to be an association of young freemasons that is focussed on supporting and fostering a younger and brighter future for the craft.
There has never been a more exciting time to be a freemason and the Blue Lounge Social Club is here to support you as a young freemason through your journey in our wonderful craft.
Check out State President Bro Jack Nathan Aquilina's appearance on Radio Eastern FM 98.1 with hosts Rick Durra and Deanna Roberts that host their weekly show Cafe Classics from 9am to 11am. Bro Jack had the chance to talk with Rick and Deanna about what freemasonry is, why it is relevant for young people in the 21st Century and some of the things the Blue Lounge Social Club and Brought to Light Masonic Podcast are doing to help keep freemasonry strong. Bro Jack also spoke about the exciting strategic partnership with Freemasons Victoria and the appointment of the first female Chief Executive with Ms Jane Sydenham-Clarke. Thanks to Radio Eastern FM 98.1 for hosting Bro Jack and the Blue Lounge and for helping us spread the word about why freemasonry is more relevant than ever!

A History of the Blue Lounge Social Club and its Founding
The Blue Lounge Social Club was created as a consequence of a small but important vision of our founders Worshipful Brother Knut Ratzeburg and Bro Colin Kirwan who decided to make a difference by providing an opportunity for young freemasons to come together in an informal environment to support each other and introduce their friends to the craft.

Starting at the Brunswick Masonic Centre in Victoria Australia, the Blue Lounge (as it was called prior to late 2015) was changing the landscape of lodges in the Brunswick area as it became a popular place for young members to make new friends, introduce their friends to the craft and to involve their partners.
As a consequence of the success of the club in recruiting and retaining members in the greater Brunswick area, the club eventually spread to every masonic centre across the Northern District of Victoria. Soon after this the club became a multi-district initiative resulting its restructure to become a State wide initiative of grassroots members dedicated to the recruitment, retention, education and support of young freemasons.
Today the Blue Lounge Social Club is active across 9 districts in Victoria whilst being established in New South Wales, Queensland, Ontario Canada and Illinois in the United States of America.
Below is pictured the clubs second version of its branding and slogan that was used from September 2015 to May 2016.
